DESCRIPTION

The Vecchia Torre Leverano Rosso DOP Riserva is one of the flagship wines of the historic Vecchia Torre winery. A multiple international award-winning wine, this Riserva offers a unique and rich flavor, perfect for accompanying fine foods and festive occasions.

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

  • Grape variety: 80% Negroamaro, 20% Malvasia Nera;
  • Alcohol content: 14%;
  • Color: intense ruby red;
  • Aromas: intense, with hints of ripe red fruit;
  • Palate: warm, balanced, velvety tannins, long-lasting;
  • Serving temperature: 16-18 degrees;

VINIFICATION

After destemming the grapes, the must ferments on the skins for 6-7 days at temperatures of 24-26°C. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in barriques for approximately 10-12 months. It then ages in the bottle for at least 3 months.
