Castello Monaci Piluna Primitivo IGT Salento is a delicious, award-winning red wine produced by one of the finest wineries in Puglia and Southern Italy. It's the perfect accompaniment to a dinner or the perfect gift for wine lovers.

VINIFICATION

The harvest takes place, partly by hand and partly by machine, in the early morning hours during the first ten days of September. After pressing, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in steel tanks with 14 days of maceration and scheduled pumping over. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, part of the wine ages for 6 months in second- and third-use French barriques, while the remainder remains in steel.
